Newton’s Law of Motion
These are Newton’s Law of Motions. There are three of them.
Law of Motion #1:
An object at rest will stay at rest unless acted on by an unbalanced force. An object in motion will stay in motion at the same speed an din the sam direction unless acted on my an unbalanced force.
Law of Motion #2:
The acceleration of an object by a force is inversly proportional to the mass of the object and directly proportional to the force.
*The smaller the mass, the greater teh acceleration
*The greater the force, the greater acceleration
Force=Mass × acceleration, or F=m× a
Divide F by M to find A
Dived F by A to find M
Law of Motion #3:
For every action, there is an equal but opposite reaction
Example: If you lean on a wall, you are exerting force on it & it’s exerting the same amount of force, just in the opposite direction.
And there you have it: the 3 Laws of Motion
