Gilmore Girls

My favorite T.V. show in the whole world is Gilmore Girls. I love the fast pace they talk at, the characters in it, the storyline, the whole show in general. It’s basically about Lorelai and her daughter, Lorelai (who everyone calls Rory). Lorelai lived with her parents, Richard and Emily Gilmore, who are really rich, but then she got pregnant at 16, had Rory, and ran away to a small town called Stars Hollow. They live there now and know everyone. They go to Luke’s Diner everyday to eat some meal, or just to sit and talk to Luke. Luke really likes Lorelai but she doesn’t see it because he doesn’t tell her. Lorelai works in the Independance Inn, until it burns down and they have to sell it. But it’s kind of a blessing in disguise because Lorelai and her best friend, Sookie, can now open up that inn that they’ve always wanted to. It’s called The Dragonfly Inn. On the night of the test run of the inn, Luke finally get’s the courage to kiss Lorelai, so now, in the 5th Season, they are dating. Sure did take a loooooooong time though. Emily and Richard don’t have a very good relationship with Lorelai, but they love Rory. That’s because Lorelai didn’t go to college (because she got pregnant) but Rory is going to Yale, which is where Richard went. The town of Stars Hollow is filled with ecentric characters such as Kirk, who is in his 30′s and still lives with him mom. Taylor, who is always getting in fights with Luke, and Mrs. Kim, who’s Rory’s best friends mother and very strict and religious. These characters, and the plot, make the show of Gilmore Girls amazing!

Here’s an example of one of the funny conversations in the show:

Lorelai: Heh, you know what I just realized? “Oy” is the funniest word in the entire world.
Rory: Hmm.
Lorelai: I mean think about it, you never hear the word “oy” and not smile. Impossible. Funny, funny word.
Emily: Oh dear God.
Lorelai: “Poodle” is another funny word.
Emily: Please drink your drink, Lorelai.
Lorelai: In fact, if you put “oy” and “poodle” together, in the same sentence, you’d have a great new catchphrase, you know? Like, “Oy with the poodles already.”
Rory: Hehe.
Lorelai: So from now on, when the perfect circumstances arise, we will use our favorite new catchphrase:
Rory: Oy with the poodles already.
Lorelai: I’m telling you, it’s knocking “Whatchu talkin’ ’bout, Willis?” right out of first place.

Haha! That’s funny! There’s plenty more of those in Gilmore Girls. So what are you sitting here for? Go watch it!
